About Us
Denise Kiessling, CPB
Not only does Denise offer professional designations as a Certified Professional Bookkeeper and a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor, she has over 30 years of business experience to round out extra value services to bring to her business clients.
Coming from other mid-management business roles in Banking, Human Resources, WSIB Administration, and Operations Management, Denise upgraded her prior Business Management Diploma to include Accounting and Income Tax Certifications and launched Kiessling & Associates in 2003.
Our team is regularly taking continuing education courses , and attending workshops and conferences to bring you the most up-to-date technology and information, keeping your business at the top of its game.
When not in the office, Denise enjoys traveling with her partner, Sam, following bass fishing tournaments, and spending time with her two grown children and two grandchildren!
Alix Scott
Along with a post-graduate diploma in Business Administration and 10+ years extensive experience in business, bookkeeping, accounting and customer service, Alix has been a valued Senior Bookkeeper / Accounting Technician with our team since 2017.
Alix is Certified as an Advanced QuickBooks Pro Advisor and has continued her education with Corporate Income Tax courses.
Being extra efficient and diligent, Alix keeps our clients up to date and compliant with their business records using latest technology. Book an appointment with Alix to refine your QuickBooks Online skills and learn how to better manage your business!
When not juggling client deadlines and projects, you'll likely find Alix and her partner, Troy, at a hockey rink, soccer field or swimming pool with one, or all, of their three children!
Peggy Sowerbutts
After running her own business for over 20 years, Peggy looked to her love of numbers for a career change. Peggy joined the Kiessling & Associates team as a Bookkeeper/Accounting Technician after completing the Bookkeeping Program at Durham College.
Peggy brings strong relationship skills, an aptitude for organization, and the ability to think under pressure and pivot with shifting priorities. Her attention to detail and care for our clients shines!
Peggy and her husband, Paul, enjoy game nights with family, and yoga. Volunteering at Whitby Courthouse Theatre continues to be a passion of theirs. Peggy remains an advocate of life-long learning and professional growth.
Dianne M.
Dianne joined the team in August 2024 on a part-time basis while pursuing Business Accounting at Centennial College. Dianne already holds a Master’s in Business Administration and is a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians.
With several years of experience in Accounting and Administration, Dianne brings a strong background to her role. Known for her attention to detail, she is passionate about supporting the team to exceed client expectations.
Outside of work and college, Dianne enjoys spending quality time with her family and traveling.
Kirsten Bekker
Kirsten has joined the KA Team for the 2025 tax season as our Office Administrator. Kirsten's customer service background and Durham College Business education is a great fit to service our customers. You'll find Kirsten at our reception desk if you're dropping by the office, or as your first contact via phone or email.
When not in the office, Kirsten is kept busy with her two active littles, and enjoys camping and road trips!
